Recent Updates for 2025

Student Permit Application

As of December 23, 2024, all study permit applications must be submitted online. Applications at ports of entry are no longer accepted.

Work Hour Limits

International students are now permitted to work off-campus for up to 24 hours per week, providing greater financial flexibility.

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Eligibility

Starting in 2025, PGWP eligibility is restricted to graduates in specific fields such as Dental Surgery, Medicine, Law, Nursing, and Pharmacy. This change aligns with Canada’s focus on admitting high-skilled workers.
